Pants that will help you survive hot summer days

When it comes to summer weather, it can never be too hot, but as much as we’d like to lounge around in our bathing suits all day, it’s not exactly an appropriate look for work. But how can we dress for the weather without being a hot mess?

According to stylist Erica Wark, there’s definitely a place for pants in our summer wardrobe. Pants can be as easy-breezy as a great skirt or pair of shorts; you just have to keep fit and fabric in mind.

Here are some of Erica’s favourite ways to wear pants this season.

LOOK 1: THE JOGGER
Joggers are a great alternative to your skinny jeans—and a lot more comfortable. Opt for a neutral shade to make it just as easy to pull an outfit together as your favourite pair of jeans.

LOOK 2: CULOTTES
Culottes are a super chic and breezy option come summertime. Wear them in a linen blend for ultimate comfort.

LOOK 3: STRAIGHT-LEG
Because they’re a slimmer fit, a lightweight fabric is key in the summer.

LOOK 4: WIDE LEG
Wide-leg pants are so chic and can really give you the look and feel of a skirt. They are also super easy to be dressed up or down in a cinch.
