How Freddie Highmore prepared for his role in 'The Good Doctor'

Freddie Highmore shot to fame at just 12 years old when he starred alongside Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet in Finding Neverland

Now, Freddie is all grown up. His latest role is a young autistic surgeon with Savant Syndrome in CTV’s hit new drama, The Good Doctor.

We haven’t seen a character like Dr. Shaun Murphy on primetime television, and Freddie plays him brilliantly. We spoke to the young actor about how he prepared for the role and the challenges that come along with it. You can watch his appearance on The Social in the above video player.

The Good Doctor airs Mondays on CTV at 10 p.m. ET.
