Tips for navigating a restaurant menu

Abigale Subdhan / The Social
Eating out a restaurant is pretty great—you get to socialize with your favourite people and take a break from the kitchen to enjoy food that someone else prepared for you. Sometimes, though, you might leave the restaurant feeling overfull and like you probably could have made some better choices.

Registered dietitian, Stephanie Clairmont, wants to make sure this doesn't happen to you, so she stopped by with some of her tips on how to eat right when you're hitting up a restaurant.

Watch in the clip above as Stephanie explains how to choose everything from the right drink and appetizer all the way down to indulging in dessert. Plus, she highlights common phrases to look for on a menu and how we can make better choices when eating Italian, Japanese and French meals.
